My Journey to New York Fashion Week

There’s a quiet, magic moment right before a dress comes to life.

Sitting in my home studio here in Southern Oregon, surrounded by vintage tapestries, thrifted floral curtains, and soft tablecloth lace, I’ll often look at a pile of fabric and wonder about the stories it’s already told. For a while now, my passion as a dressmaker has been giving those fabrics a second chapter—turning forgotten textiles into romantic, vintage-inspired gowns with corset bodices and soft, flowing skirts.

Today, I’m stepping into a chapter I used to only dream about.

I am so excited—and honestly a little in denial—to share that I’m preparing my very first gown collection for New York Fashion Week in February 2027, presenting with Runway 7 at Sony Hall!

The Heart Behind the Collection: Made to Be Known

This debut collection is titled "Made to Be Known."

As a self-taught fashion designer, every piece I create feels like a little reflection of my own journey. Made to Be Known isn't just about pretty dresses; it’s about what it feels like to step out, be seen, and own your story.

The collection brings together everything I love: romantic ivories, soft blush, crisp whites, rich burgundies, deep reds, and classic black. You can expect dreamy, vintage-inspired silhouettes crafted entirely from what I hope will be fabric companies I hope to partner with.

A New Chapter for My Brand

As this wild journey unfolds, the way I share my work is changing in a big, meaningful way.

I’m stepping away from traditional retail because I want this brand to be about real connection and art, not just selling things. Fashion should feel alive, personal, and shared.

Here is what’s coming up as we head toward New York:

• Lots of sneak peek videos: I want to bring you right up to the worktable with me. My videos will focus on the hands-on process—without giving away the secrets.

• Music & Film: As a musician and filmmaker, dresses and music go hand-in-hand for me. I’ll be creating short cinematic films and video features where these gowns come to life in motion.

• Corset Top Giveaways: My community means the world to me, so I’m starting a weekly Story Nomination gift. Instead of selling these pieces, I’ll have a form where you can nominate yourself or someone you love to receive a handmade corset top as a gift from me.
